Description in a Nutshell
Join us as we partner with Middle Fork River Expeditions to create our own pop-up community as we float down the Middle Fork of the Salmon River in Idaho. The river and its scenery are breathtaking, the guides are brilliant, and the food is mouth watering. For the adventurers among us, the 6 days of world-class whitewater rafting and fly fishing are nothing less than spectacular. Each year, this outdoor experience invigorates and restores us.
About the River
The Middle Fork is the largest, most remote, roadless and unspoiled Wilderness Area in the US. It cuts through America’s third deepest river canyon and offers 100 miles of wild and scenic free-flowing river and more than 350 class I-IV rapids.
Wild and Scenic Wilderness
A rafting trip on the Middle Fork is a true wilderness trip. The Middle Fork is one of a few choice rivers designated by Congress as “Wild & Scenic” in 1968. This ensures it will remain forever as it is now — crystal clear, wild and free, with no dams, roads or pollution. Nothing is allowed to spoil the land or your experience. The Middle Fork flows entirely through the largest protected wilderness area in the lower 48 states.
So Much More Than Rafting Down A River
Experience primitive America ... unspoiled and beautiful. Explore ancient Indian caves and pictographs and a hermit’s homestead, enjoy blue ribbon cutthroat trout fishing, soak in natural hot water springs. View many kinds of wildlife — bighorn sheep, river otter, golden eagles, elk, deer, beaver, osprey and moose.
